Health & wellbeing
The pursuit of good health and access to basic healthcare are fundamental rights. In addition, our health and wellbeing are affected by many other aspects of life, from work and education to the climate.
Gaining a clearer understanding of the population’s health and wellbeing, and its social and environmental determinants, will help inform and influence public policy to improve the quality of life of individuals in England and the wider UK.
ADR England includes a diverse portfolio of work that’s providing insights to improve health and wellbeing. Key examples include ECHILD which links data to better understand how education affects children’s health, and how health affects their education; and the Kids’ Environment and Health Cohort, which will enable analysis into how the local environment affects children’s health and schooling.
The UK Government’s Department of Health and Social Care is an ADR England core partner, enabling us to build on the body of knowledge that connects health to the broader areas of our lives.
