ADR England supports research that uses linked administrative data to improve public policy, public services and outcomes for people across England and the UK.
Our projects aim to deliver impact at multiple levels, from informing national policy to supporting regional and local decision-making. This includes providing robust evidence on “what works”, shaping the design and delivery of public services, and contributing to improved outcomes for individuals and communities.
ADR England is part of the wider ADR UK investment and adopts the same definition of research impact used by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). You can find more detail on how impact is defined and measured, including the ‘Five Ps’ framework, on the ADR UK impact page.
Explore the outputs and impact of ADR UK and other administrative data research conducted by our partners in the case studies below. Each story is at a different point in their impact journey, and we often revisit research to find out whether further impact has been achieved.
